Obituary for Paul Gaitan

Paul Gaitan, 41, of Hereford, Texas, went home to be with his Lord on Tuesday, July 11.

A visitation for Paul is scheduled for Friday, July 14, from 9am to 6pm, followed by a Prayer Service at 6:30 pm in the Hereford Heritage Funeral Home Rose Chapel with Jacob Larra officiating. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, July 15, at 2pm at the Genesis Church in Hereford, TX.

Paul was born September 16, 1975 to Pedro and Nicha Gaitan in Hereford, TX. Paul was a hardworking man with a big heart. He enjoyed collecting eagle statues and pictures and considered himself to be a Harley man. He worked as a cement truck driver for Hereford Concrete and enjoyed his job and his co-workers. He loved his Chihuahua “Cujo”, who could often be seen in his arms.

Paul was preceded in death by his father, Pedro Gaitan Sr., and his grandparents, Natividad and Anita Martinez, as well as Toribio Gaitan, his paternal grandfather. He is also preceded by his uncle, Paul Gaitan.

He is survived by his Mother, Nicha Gaitan of Hereford, TX, as well as by his brother, Pedro Gaitan Jr. of Hereford, TX, and two sisters, Cynthia Riojas of Amarillo, TX, and Amy Garcia and husband Henry Garcia, of Hereford, TX. He is also survived by his girlfriend Shyra Smith of Hereford, TX. He will be missed by his many aunts, uncles, and numerous cousins.

Services are under the direction of Hereford Heritage Funeral Home.
